Implementation of the MEDIATION4ROMA training in Belgium

The CMGVRW trainers have successfully implemented the MEDIATION4ROMA training program in Brussels, Belgium. On the 16th, 17th and 18th of September, the face-to-face sessions gathered people of various backgrounds: members of the Roma community, Travelers, men, women, natural mediators (volunteers) and employed mediators. The diversity inherent to this group turned out to be a particularly enriching factor throughout the training and the many interactions that arose from it.

The Spanish Training Experience

VET4ROMA 30 mediators attended the training

In the first weeks of July, in Rome, it held the first part of the training of the European project VET4ROMA. 30 mediators who work with Roma communities in the city of Rome, particpated to the training oIMG-20150610-WA0002rganized by Arci Solidarietà.

The training topics are the active listen and good communication, the intercultural mediation and the mediation with the Roma communities.

In particular, Italy focuses the training on the current situation about Roma camps and above all on the Schooling Project for Roma children and adolescents, in which the organization has been working for 20 years and in which project work the mayority of social workers trained.

Public Meeting and Third Steering Committee Meeting in Timisoara

IMG_4367A public event in Timisoara (Romania) was celebrated the past 21st of April. The meeting was dedicated to discuss and reflect on mediation in the field of education and the role of school mediators. During the meeting, Mediation4Roma consortium reminded the importance of VET certification in Europe, emphasizing the importance to look for the support of national certification centers during the implementation of the training.
